Title: Chinese Officials to Monitor Datang's SNG Project Following a Troubled Phase I Startup

Datang's plant in Chifeng was supposed to be the first plant producing SNG in China as phase I production was expected to begin in early 2011, but it was not until December of last year that production began. Production was then halted in January after corrosion problems and an industrial accident killed two workers and did not resume until this spring.
