DENNIS L. LAUDAL - ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CENTER (EERC)

         

BIO:  Dennis L. Laudal, Senior Research Advisor at EERC, received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from UND and his B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from Concordia College. Mr. Laudal is considered a leading authority on mercury measurement and control in flue gas. In 1999, he authored for the American Society for Testing and Materials what is now referred to as the Ontario Hydro mercury speciation method. In addition to mercury, Mr. Laudal’s expertise includes air toxic control technologies, particulate characterization and control, SO3 measurement and control, and control technologies for SOx/NOx. Recently Mr. Laudal worked with the Portland Cement Association to develop technical comments to the EPA for the proposed National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants. Mr. Laudal has authored or coauthored more than 100 publications and contract reports.
