GERALD YOUNG – PENTA ENGINEERING CORP.

 

BIO: Gerald Young (Jerry) is Vice President of Process and Environmental Engineering at Penta Engineering Corp. in St. Louis, Missouri.  Mr. Young was instrumental in developing Penta’s environmental engineering department, and continues to develop and conduct in-plant and classroom training programs covering numerous topics for cement plant operations. He has headed Penta’s work with the PCA reviewing pollution control technologies and developing capital and operating cost estimates and cost effectiveness calculations for HAPS, NOx, SO2 and CO2.

 

Mr. Young holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Master of Arts in Management from the University of Redlands, Redlands, California. He has 40 years of experience in the cement industry and has held the posts of Vice-President of Project Development at Passamaquoddy Technology and Manager of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Production Manager, and Chief Chemist in cement manufacturing companies.
